A distinguished team of Argentine scientists have tested in mice a gene vaccine that stimulates the body to fight cancer tumors, such as colon and breast cancer. The researchers extracted the cancer cells and genetically engineered animals so that they produce proteins capable of activating the immune system. The resultant of these proteins drug achieved that 50 to 70% of vaccinated mice could reject the tumors. Also successfully applied to lung metastases.
